Amy Barga (Barkalow) is the founder and owner of AmyCakes. She has a passion for creating custom designed baked goods that you just can't find at every corner bakery or cupcake shop. Not only does she love to create items that look amazing but she also feels that the taste and quality is top priority. 



Amy grew up in a family where the meals were always homemade, and the birthday cakes were never purchased from a store or made from a box mix, but rather from scratch. She was taught to bake at a young age by her mother and grandmothers. Over the years Amy was won many local awards for her delicious baked goods. Most recently in May 2013, she competed on Food Network's hit TV show Cupcake Wars. 



Since starting AmyCakes in 2010, things have really taken off. The first AmyCakes storefront opened in July of 2013. The shop is a modern twist on the traditional bakery - offering specialty cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and more. Amy plans to continue to grow her business and brand. In the future she hopes to expand her business and open up multiple locations throughout Ohio and possibly even the United States.
